On June 21st-22nd Hult Prize Lisbon Summit 2024 took place, being co-hosted by the Hult Prize committee and ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management. Hult Prize is the world’s largest young social entrepreneurship contest with a final award of 1M$, and in this year’s edition, IMAGI, a medtech startup founded by students and alumni of Ciências ULisboa was among the only 2 Portuguese startups representing Portugal and the University of Lisbon!
Out of nearly 10.000 startups, IMAGI was among the chosen 360 best startups to compete at the Global Summits – thus, it was in the top 4% of the best projects, which is a motive of great pride and joy for our community.
Despite not being among the chosen 7 out of the 360, IMAGI is still eligible for the second chance phase where a new set of 7 startups will be chosen to join the previous ones in the Global Accelerator.
But Hult Prize is about much more than winning, as the two attending founders, Leonor and Mariana, returned from the competition feeling fulfilled and overjoyed by the lived experiences and fostered connections. What they’ve learned in this journey will surely propel IMAGI’s development!
In the words of Leonor de Oliveira Pires, co-founder and Head of Technology at IMAGI, “We are grateful for having the opportunity to present IMAGI’s mission to people from all over the world. The feedback was positive and inspiring: we definitely learned a lot and we are motivated to further develop Cloudia to help every child in need.”
