On November 25th, Tec Labs held a special edition of its recurring Meet the Investor event – this time fully dedicated to Business Angels and organized in partnership with Investors Portugal, the association representing early-stage investors in the country.
For this session, we welcomed three distinguished business angels: Luís Gutman (Angels Way), Paulo Bandeira (COREangels Lisbon) and Isabel Neves (Business Angels Club de Lisboa).
They introduced themselves and shared their investment focus areas, offering valuable insights for founders – particularly for early-stage startups, for whom the first investment tickets can be crucial to validate the product, build traction, and accelerate growth.
Following the presentations, our incubated startups engaged in 1:1 meetings with the investors. These conversations proved to be highly enriching: even in cases where an investor was not an immediate fit for a specific startup, founders benefited from expert guidance, strategic advice, and introductions to relevant contacts within the broader investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Startups such as Sowé, EcoBriquette, Raiz Vertical Farms, KeepIt, and IPSIS were among those who participated, taking full advantage of this unique opportunity to refine their pitches, gather feedback, and explore future pathways.
This special edition highlighted the importance of connecting early-stage founders with experienced investors – not only to unlock potential funding, but also to strengthen their strategic direction and networks.
