Funding Talks | How to prepare your application for the EIC Pre-Accelerator

Hello community ☀

We’re excited to launch a new series of events – Funding Talks – designed to help researchers and entrepreneurs better navigate key innovation topics. Our goal is to provide practical insights and guidance to strengthen your projects and increase your chances of success in competitive funding opportunities.

For this first edition, we will welcome Manuel Nina, EU grants expert and co-founder of Snap!, who will guide us through the EIC Pre-Accelerator: a program created by the European Union to prepare future applicants for the EIC Accelerator, boosting their technological, market, and investment readiness. The session will take place at Tec Labs Auditorium on September 23rd at 2 p.m..

✏ What is the EIC Accelerator?
It’s one of the EU’s most competitive funding programs, supporting high-risk, high-impact deep tech innovations with the potential to transform markets and scale globally. It provides direct funding (grant + equity) and access to a powerful network of investors and strategic partners.

✏ And why the EIC Pre-Accelerator?
Because many brilliant ideas fall short not due to lack of potential, but because they are not yet mature enough in terms of technology, market readiness, or investment strategy. The Pre-Accelerator was designed to help promising teams strengthen their solutions, improve their business models, and increase their investment readiness.

✨ Whether you’re a researcher with just an idea looking to deepen your knowledge or a deep tech startup already looking for funding, this session is for you!

During this talk, we will cover:
✔ The goals and eligibility criteria of both the EIC Accelerator and Pre-Accelerator
✔ The key steps of the application process
✔ How to prepare your team and project to compete at the highest European level

We’ll close with a Q&A session to address your questions directly.
