Before the summer break, we gathered once more for another edition of Breakfast with the CEO – this time with Emiliano Gutierrez, CEO of Raiz Vertical Farms!
On July 14th, Emiliano shared the story behind Raiz, a startup that’s redefining how we think about food production through indoor vertical farming. From the company’s early days to the key decisions and challenges that shaped its growth, Emiliano gave us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at building a sustainable, tech-driven business in the agri-food sector.
Emiliano also took the opportunity to showcase a prototype of his exciting new product, Ortus, a 3D-printed, modular hydroponic system for vertical farming. Designed to be adaptable, sustainable and easy to assemble, Ortus enables smart food production and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Emiliano’s journey sparked curiosity and inspired a lively, insightful exchange. The discussion touched on funding challenges and the importance of a strong, dedicated team. During the Q&A, our community actively engaged, sharing ideas about potential applications of Ortus and alternative materials for its construction.
