The Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon gathered up to host a highly anticipated event focused on the “PhD in Business Environment,” organized by COTEC Portugal and FCT. This event served as a platform for academia and industry to converge and explore the realm of doctoral studies in the business landscape.
The event commenced with an opening address by Luís Carriço, the Director of Ciências ULisboa, setting the stage for the enlightening discussions ahead, followed by the intervention of esteemed alumni who have completed their doctoral studies in the business environment as they shared their experiences and insights, providing valuable perspectives on the intersection of academia and industry.
After that, a distinguished panel will engage in a dynamic discussion on the subject. The panelists include Francisco Santos, Vice-President of FCT; Teresa Vieira, representing the Commission for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ciências ULisboa; Nuno Araújo, a renowned researcher from the Center for Theoretical and Computational Physics at Ciências ULisboa; and representatives from Renova, a prominent company in the field.
The event will also feature an interactive session where the audience can pose their questions and actively participate in the dialogue.
To finish off the event there was time to network during the coffee break we’ve provided.
We hope everyone enjoyed this event as it was a valuable opportunity for knowledge sharing and networking.
