DELOX was selected by the EIC Accelerator Funding Program!

Exciting news! Delox, one of Ciências ULisboa’s spin-offs, has been selected by the EIC Accelerator Funding Program.

The European Innovation Council (EIC) has concluded its 2023 funding cycle by choosing 42 startups and SMEs from a pool of 1083 contestants, amounting to a total of €285M in combined grants and equity investments.

After three extremely competitive phases, Delox had the chance to present their solution Delox Air as an answer to the “Aerosol and Surface Decontamination for Pandemic Management” Challenge, where after a compelling pitch and a Q&A session with the EIC committee, they were awarded this outstanding recognition.

Among the 42 deeptech finalists, Delox is the only Portuguese company securing the funding, making it not only an important milestone for the startup but also a motive for national pride! This invaluable recognition will allow Delox to expand their technology and business. In the words of Fernando Antunes, CTO at Delox:

“This project represents another validation of the unique value of Delox technology. It will enable Delox to expand its lines of products and develop Delox Air – the solution that was selected by the EIC to enable social interaction for future pandemics. On a personal note, Delox exemplifies how curiosity-driven research and technology-driven innovation can converge, blurring the traditional boundaries between pure and applied research.”

Congratulations, Delox!
